Privacy Policy — shipped.
Last updated: 2026-07-27
shipped. is a macOS and iOS app that turns your GitHub activity into desktop widgets and an in-app dashboard.
Overview
- shipped. has no servers or accounts of its own — your GitHub data is never stored on infrastructure we operate.
- All of your GitHub data is stored only on your device, so widgets can show it without constant network calls.
- We don’t run analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs, and we never sell or share your data.
What we access
- Your GitHub account, via GitHub’s own sign-in — your public profile plus repository access (including private repositories) so shipped. can show accurate contribution and activity stats.
- Your GitHub access token, stored securely on your device and shared only between the app and its widgets.
- Your contribution graph, repositories, commit activity, and avatar, fetched directly from GitHub and cached locally for fast widget refreshes.
Local Workspace (Mac only)
The optional Workspace feature scans folders you choose on your own Mac to show local git status. This never leaves your device.
What we don’t do
- No account system beyond your GitHub identity.
- No analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
- No in-app purchases beyond the app’s one-time price.
Your data, your control
- Disconnecting removes your access token immediately.
- Deleting the app removes all local data.
- You can revoke access at any time from GitHub’s own settings (Settings → Applications → Authorized OAuth Apps).
Third-party services
GitHub, Inc. is the source of your account and repository data. See GitHub’s own Privacy Statement for how GitHub handles your data.
Children’s privacy
shipped. isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect data from them.
